Edith Gillespie Crumley

Edith Gillespie Crumley, age 79, of Dahlonega, GA passed away Friday, August 22, 2014.

She was the daughter of the late Charlie and Louise Sutton Gillespie, and a lifelong resident of Lumpkin County. She retired from the Burlington Industries Pine Tree Plant in Dahlonega, and was of the Baptist Faith. Edith had a great love for her cats. She was a loving mother and will be dearly missed.

Ms. Crumley is survived by her sons, Doug Crumley and Edwin "Cotton" Crumley; daughter, Marie Crumley; and grandchildren, Julie Crumley, Melissa Martin, and Angela Crumley, all of Dahlonega, GA. Five great grandchildren and a number of other relatives also survive.

Funeral services for Edith are scheduled for 1 PM Monday, August 25, 2014 at the Banister Funeral Home Chapel in Dahlonega, GA.

Rev. Terry Head will officiate.

Interment will follow in the Dahlonega Memorial Park Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at Banister Funeral Home in Dahlonega from 12 Noon until 9 PM on Sunday, August 24, 2014, and Monday, August 25, 2014 until time of service.
