Joice E. Westmoreland

Joice E. Westmoreland, age 74 of Cleveland, passed away Saturday, August 23, 2014.

Ms. Westmoreland was born July 15, 1940 in Cleveland, GA to Hallie Chambers Warwick and the late John Terrell Warwick. She was a former Vice President of Regions Bank and was a member of Union Grove Congregational Holiness Church. Ms. Westmoreland was a longtime community volunteer through Helen Rotary Club, Backpack Buddies and other organizations. She was also a longtime supporter of WCHS football and baseball teams where she loved to watch and cheer for her grandkids. She was a mother and friend to many and a "surrogate" mother to many children growing up in the White County Community. Joice loved to travel with Arcus Barker and enjoyed the life of retirement. She was preceded in death by her sister Barbara Sue Warwick.

Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Kurt and Allyson Westmoreland, Cleveland; daughter, KaRon Westmoreland, Atlanta; mother, Hallie Warwick, Cleveland; grandchildren, Bart Westmoreland, Brett Westmorland, Brae Westmoreland; brothers and sisters-in-law, Dwight and Patricia Warwick; Hugh and Betty Warwick, all of Cleveland; special companion, Arcus Barker, Helen; numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services are scheduled for 1:00 P.M. Monday, August, 25, 2014 at the Chapel of Barrett Funeral Home. The Rev. Gary Heffner and the Rev. Michael Wilkes will officiate. Interment will follow at Union Grove Congregational Holiness Church Cemetery with the Rev. Dennis Turner officiating.

The family will receive friends from 2-4 & 6-8 P.M. Sunday at the funeral home.
