Marion Lucille Card

Marion Lucille Card, age 87 of Cornelia, Georgia passed away on Sunday, August 17, 2014 following an extended illness.

Born in Nebraska on January 01, 1927, she was a daughter of the late Leonard & Ruth Card. Ms. Card was a caregiver for many years. She was a very independent woman, who enjoyed crafting, walking, fishing, cooking, & building things from scratch. She loved spending time with her family and friends. Ms. Card attended The Dwelling Place Church and was of the Christian faith.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Jean Jenkins; brothers, Dale Card & Leonard Card.

Survivors include her daughter & son-in-law, Etoyle & Gary Norris, Independence, KY; sister, Patsy Childers, TX; ;grandchildren, Lisa & Patrick Sloan, Cornelia, GA; Laurie Parks, Ball Ground, GA; Pennie & Calvin Keith, Asheville, NC; Scott Norris, Independence, KY; great-grandchildren, Caleb Sloan, Aaron Sloan, Rodney Parks, Carolyn Ann Parks, Ashton Parks, all of Cornelia, GA; Schon Keith, Asheville, NC. several nieces, nephews, other relatives & friends.

A memorial service will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 21, 2014 from the Chapel of McGahee-Griffin & Stewart Funeral Home.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday evening from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. just prior to the service.
