Audrey Norrell

Audrey Norrell, 97, of Dahlonega passed away Wednesday August 13, 2014 following a period of declining health.

Born June 30, 1917 in Cordele, Georgia to the late William and Jane Smith, she grew up in Forsyth County and lived several years in Hall County before moving to Lumpkin County 15 years ago. Mrs. Norrell was a homemaker and was the oldest member of Mayfield Baptist Church. She was also preceded in death by her husband, E. C. Norrell; son, Eric Norrell; four sisters and a brother.

Surviving are her daughter, Helen Jones, Mt. Pleasant, SC; son and daughter in law, Doug and Kim Norrell, Dahlonega; seven grandchildren, several great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Saturday August 16, 2014 at 11 o'clock at Bearden Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Nathan Martin will officiate. Interment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery.

The family will receive friends Friday from 5 until 8 at the funeral home.
