Mrs. Minnie Malcom Carson, age 89, of Lawrenceville, GA passed away on Saturday, August 9, 2014. She was preceded in death by her husband, Wiley J. Carson, Sr.; sons, Wiley J. Carson, Jr., Hennon Carson, Frank Carson, and Ramey Carson; daughter, Minnie Wansley. She is survived by her daughters, Brenda Waters, Lawrenceville, GA, and Minister Shirley Carson, Lawrenceville, GA; thirty-five grandchildren; sixty great grandchildren; ten great-great grandchildren; sister and brother-in-law, Emmaline and Deacon Broughton Brooks, Buford, GA; brother and sister-in-law, Frank and Bernice Malcom, Oxville, NC; host of nieces, nephews and cousins; special friends, Evangelist Dora Bailey, and Sister Louise Wilson. Mrs. Carson was born March 11, 1925 in Monroe, GA. She was retired from Gwinnett County Courthouse after working as a custodian for many years. She was a member of Union Baptist Church, Buford, GA. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 16, 2014 at Union Baptist Church, Buford, GA with Pastor Kary Harris officiating. Interment will follow at Old Union Baptist Church cemetery, Buford, GA. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday, August 15, 2014 from 7:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m.
