Mrs. Betty Waters Williams, 85 of Gainesville died Saturday August 9, 2014.
The daughter of the late James Boyd and Azzie Fouts Waters, Mrs. Williams had lived in Hall County for most of her life. Mrs. Williams worked as the secretary and bookkeeper at Lanier Elementary School for a number of years, and also worked at North Hall High School before her retirement. She was a member of the Corinth Baptist Church.
Survivors include her sons and daughters-in-law, Leon and Brenda Williams; Greg and Sally Williams, all of Gainesville; daughter and son-in-law, Gail and Chip Woods, Greenville, SC; son, Alan Williams, Pensacola, Florida; grandchildren, Brian and Shanon Williams, Robert and Lindsey Williams, Caroline and Henslee Hill, Bradford Williams, all of Gainesville; Matthew Woods, Omaha, Nebraska; Amy and Tyler Civils, Greenville, SC; great grandchildren, Amber, Morgan, Brandon, Zack, Parker, Ashton, Charlie, Mallory, Kathryn and Reed; sisters, Bonnie Barmore, Gainesville and Carol Keener, East Ellijay; a number of nieces and nephews also survive.
Mrs. Williams is preceded in death by her parents, husband, Charles E. Williams, sister, Susie West; brothers, H.F. Waters, J.B. Waters and Eugene Waters.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday August 13, 2014 in the chapel of Little & Davenport Funeral Home. Rev. Danny Jones will officiate. Interment will follow in the Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Tuesday August 12, 2014 from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m.
