Henrietta Tatum Freeman

Alexander Funeral Home of Cleveland announces the death of Mrs Henrietta Tatum Freeman, age 94 of Cleveland. Mrs. Freeman passed away Saturday, August 9, 2014. Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00pm, Monday, August 11, 2014 in the funeral home chapel with Mr. Glen Cook officiating. Interment will follow in Mt. Yonah Baptist Church Cemetery .
Henrietta was born in White County on February 17, 1920 to the late Lat Tatum and Lola Forest Tatum. For a number of years Henrietta worked at the Wilco Hosiery Mill in Helen . But her true passion was that of being a homemaker, a devoted wife and mother as well as having a strong Christian faith , Henrietta's simple faith and outlook on life was summed up by a saying she used quite often" I love you a bushel and a peck and a hug around the neck " She loved the outdoors and was an avid gardener. She is preceded in death by her husband, Scott Freeman, brothers, Merrill Tatum, James (Dewy) Tatum, Frank Tatum and Alvin Tatum.
She is survived by her daughter and son in law, Elaine and Tim Reynolds, Cleveland,; granddaughter, Lauren Brown, High Point, NC; brother, Ray Neal Tatum (Carol) , Athens, TN; sister, Mildred Butler (Arnold), Cleveland; sisters in law , Connie Tatum of Gainesville and Joanne Tatum of Cleveland.
