Sarah Mildred Elrod Hallford

Funeral services for Sarah Mildred Elrod Hallford, age 86, of Demorest will be held on Saturday, August 9, 2014 at 11:00 AM from the Hillside Memorial Chapel. Interment will follow the service in Bethel Temple Congregational Holiness Church Cemetery.

Mrs. Hallford died at her residence on Wednesday, August 6, 2014.

Born on July 10, 1928 in Walhalla, South Carolina, Mrs Hallford was the daughter of the late Edward Harrison and Naomi Moody Elrod. Mrs. Hallford was a member of Bethel Temple Congregational Holiness Church and she was a homemaker. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Hallford is preceded in death by her husband Harold Edward Hallford, brothers T.J. Elrod, Ernest Elrod, Aubrey Elrod, and Loy Elrod, sisters Cleo Bailey and Connie Webb.

Survivors include daughter and son in law Kay and Bryan Allen of Toccoa, daughter Debbie Sutton of Demorest, son and daughter in law Keith and Jennie Hallford of Demorest, brother Lowell Elrod of Demorest, grandchildren Brant Sanders, Trent Sanders, Jennifer Porter, Brooke Stancil, great grandchildren Danielle Skelton Morgan, Logan and Marlee Stancil, Dylan Burts, Ragan Sanders, Jaxan Sanders, Sutton Porter, and Reece Porter, and great great grandchild Aubrey McAllister.

The family will receive friends at the the funeral home on Friday, August 8, 2014 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM.
