Charlotte J. Smith

Charlotte J. Smith, age 80, of Sugar Hill, GA passed away on Thursday, August 7, 2014. She was preceded in death by her parents, Loyd and Lizzie Smith, infant twin brother and sister, Lonnie and Flonnie Smith, and brother, Jerome Smith. She is survived by her brother, Roger M. Smith, Sugar Hill, GA; nephews, Garry and Tricia Smith, Buford, GA, and Larry and Tina Smith, Murphy, NC; niece, Ginger Smith, Roanoke Rapids, NC; cousin, Beatrice Smith Samples, Sugar Hill, GA, and her children: son, Stephen Samples, Watkinsville, GA, and daughter, Vicki Samples Pruitt and husband Darrell Pruitt, Grayson, GA; and other relatives. Miss Smith was born January 30, 1934 in Buford, GA. She was a 1956 graduate of Sugar Hill School. She was a homemaker and a member of New Hope Baptist Church. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 9, 2014 in the Chapel of Flanigan Funeral Home with Rev. Darrell Pruitt and Rev. Shannon Wingo officiating. Interment will follow at Broadlawn Memorial Gardens, with Rev. Mark Akin officiating at the graveside service. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday, August 8, 2014 from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.
