Keith Douglas Lakey

Funeral services for Keith Douglas Lakey, age 62, of Demorest will be held on Saturday, August 9, 2014 at 2:00 PM from the Hillside Memorial Chapel. Rev. Stacey Miller will officiate with interment to follow the service in Oak Grove Baptist Cemetery in Franklin, North Carolina. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday, August 8, 2014 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM.

Mr. Lakey died Wednesday, August 6, 2014.

Born in Clayton on May 11, 1952, Mr. Lackey was the son of the late C. D. and Norva Tabor Lakey. He was a truck driver with PFG - Milton Foods. Mr. Lakey was a member of Oak Grove Baptist Church in Franklin, NC. In addition to his parents, Mr. Lakey is preceded in death by brother Donald Lakey.

Survivors include his wife Gladys Norris Lakey of Demorest, son and daughter in law Neal and Gina Lakey of Mt. Airy, brother and sister in law Gar and Jeannette Lakey of Franklin, NC, sister in law of Dianne of Franklin, NC, and grandchildren Madison, Hunter, and Westin Lakey.
