Dolores Colon

Dolores Colon, 72, of Dawsonville passed away Monday August 4, 2014 at Northside Forsyth Hospital.

Mrs. Colon was born February 10, 1942 to the late Herman and Margie Richard. She had been a resident of Dawsonville for the past seven years and previously of Cooper City, Florida. A trustee at Dawsonville Baptist Church, she was very passionate about the Dawson Christian Learning Center where local high school students are taught from the Bible.

Surviving are her husband of over 50 years, Ed Colon, Dawsonville; son and daughter in law, Eddie and Kim Colon, Dawsonville; daughters and sons in law, Annette and Travis Buffenbarger, Orlando, FL, Jeanine and Pastor Jeremy Higdon, Jacksonville, FL; grandchildren, Chris, Pia, Travis, Alexa, Ana, Austin, Zach, Ryan; a number of other relatives.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday August 6, 2014 at 4 o'clock at Dawsonville Baptist Church. Pastor Jeremy Higdon and family will officiate. Interment will follow in the Dawsonville Memorial Gardens.
