Freddie Sue Kanady

Freddie Sue Hicks Carder Kanady, age 80 of Cleveland, passed away, Friday, August 01, 2014 at her residence.

Mrs. Kanady was born August 24, 1933 in Gainesville to the late Tunnie and Wilhelmia Franklin Hicks. She attended Shoal Creek Baptist Church and was a part of Shoal Creek Good Will Circle. Mrs. Kanady was preceded in death by her husband, Winfred Kanady, sisters Bessie Wills, Louise Keys and Marie Crowe.

Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Danny and Ruth Carder, Gainesville; daughters and sons-in-law, Debbie and Tommy Holloway, Gainesville; Kay and Anthony Gilleland, Clermont; grandchildren, Joey Carder, Mt. Airy; Melinda Ladd, Talmo; Karla Wheeler, Tallahassee, FL; Brandi Bagley, Dawsonville; Suzanne Warren, Augusta; David Smith, Atlanta; Heather Spillers, Drew Barnes, Tony Gilleland, Josh Gilleland, Kasey Holland, all of Gainesville; cousins, Stanley and Star Wills, Cleveland; Tommy and Cindy Wills, Cleveland; Eddy and Bert Wills, Richmond Hill; 18 great grandchildren.

Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 PM Monday, August 4, 2014 at Shoal Creek Baptist Church. Dr. Joe Vernon, the Rev. Chris Anderson and the Rev. Jerry Whitlock will officiate. Interment will follow at Clarksville City Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 2-4 & 6-8 PM Sunday at the funeral home.
