Martha Sue Thomason

Mrs. Martha Sue Thomason, age 80 of Murrayville, Georgia passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family on July 30, 2014.

Graveside services are scheduled for Saturday, August 2, 2014 at 2:00pm in Sawnee View Cemetery in Cumming, GA with Reverend Kathy Lamon officiating. The family will receive friends on Friday, August 1, 2014 from 4:00-7:00pm at the funeral home.

Mrs. Thomason was born March 10, 1934 in Forsyth County, Georgia to the late William Clay Freeman and Clara Elizabeth Nuckolls Freeman. She was a homemaker and was member of Gainesville First United Methodist Church. Mrs. Thomason was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Ronald Freeman.

Mrs. Thomason is survived by her husband of 62 years, Clyde Thomason of Murrayville; son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Claudia Thomason of Sugar Hill; daughter, Susan Proctor of Sautee-Nacoochee; daughter, Carol Martin of Gainesville; brother and sister-in-law, William and Sandra Freeman of Ellijay; sister-in-law, Jackie Freeman of Dawsonville; 7 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild and several beloved pets.

In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the Humane Society of Northeast Georgia.
