Ethel Tate Grizzle

Mrs. Ethel Tate Grizzle, age 88, of Dahlonega, GA passed away Monday, July 28, 2014.

Ethel was a lifelong resident of Lumpkin County, and a member of Cavender Creek Baptist Church. She was a homemaker and avid gardener who loved to give to everyone she knew.

She was the daughter of the late Sam and Matilda Hefner Tate, and is also preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Frank M. Grizzle; son, Mitchell Grizzle; daughter-in-law, Brenda Anderson Grizzle; and several brothers and sisters.

Ethel is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, Doug and Frances Grizzle, Tracy and Ann Carder Grizzle; daughter and son-in-law, Norma and David Smith; grandchildren, Danny and Mary Grizzle, Tina and Joey Clonts, Toby and Missy Grizzle, Chad Grizzle, Amy and Bryan Anderson, Nolan Grizzle and Melissa Garrett, Wendy Smith, and Brandon and Dana Smith. Numerous great grandchildren and a number of other relatives also survive.

Funeral services for Mrs. Grizzle are scheduled for 3 PM Wednesday, July 30, 2014 at the Banister Funeral Home Chapel in Dahlonega, GA.

Rev. Stephen Adams, Rev. JR Fields, and Rev. Lyman Caldwell will officiate.

Interment will follow in the Dahlonega Memorial Park Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at Banister Funeral Home of Dahlonega from 3 PM until 9 PM on Tuesday, July 29, 2014; and until time of service on Wednesday, July 30, 2014.
