James A.(Jimmy) Dale

Mr. James Arthur Dale (Jimmy), age 81, of Gainesville, Georgia, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his family on July 27, 2014.


Funeral services are scheduled for 11:00 am Wednesday, July 30, 2014 at Memorial Park North Riverside Chapel with interment to follow at Memorial Park Cemetery. The Reverend Ernest Fortner and Reverend Richard Thomas will officiate. The family will receive friends from 5 to 8 pm Tuesday, July 29, 2014 at the funeral home.

Mr. Dale was born June 21, 1933, the son of the late Claude William Dale and Minnie Lou (Smith) Dale. He was a member of Prospect Baptist Church. He was a member of the Murrayville Masonic Lodge for over 50 years. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Jimmy is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Mary Ernestine (Holcomb) Dale of Gainesville; daughter and son-in-law, Jackie and Roy Brooks; son and daughter-in-law, Mike and Dawn Dale; son, Eddie Dale; son and daughter-in-law, Marvin and Melissa Dale all of Gainesville; granddaughter & husband, Sandra and Jonathan Kindle; granddaughter and fiance, Leslie Brooks and Steven McIntyre; grandson and wife, Andrew and Casey Brooks; great-grandchildren, Addy Kindle; Chastin Brooks; brothers, Bill Dale of Gainesville; Bob Dale of Flowery Branch; sisters, Doris Murell of Gainesville; and Susie Dale of New Holland.
