Hayward Bryson

Hayward Bryson, age 84, of Amy's Creek Community, Clarkesville, Georgia, passed away on Tuesday, July 22, 2014.



Mr. Bryson was born on December 15, 1929, in Macon County, North Carolina, son of the late Zeb and Margaret Watkins Bryson. He was also preceded in death by his brothers, Hershel Bryson, Ray Bryson, and Harold Bryson; sister, Dorothy Bryson. Mr. Bryson was a member of the Crescent Hill Baptist Church. He was a veteran of the United States Army, having served his country during the Korean Conflict. Mr. Bryson was a retired motor grader operator for Habersham County with thirty six years of dedicated service.



Survivors include his wife, Marie Willis Bryson, Clarkesville, GA; sons and daughters-in-law, Ronald and Karen Bryson, Mount Airy, GA. and Robert and Carla Bryson, Clarkesville, GA; sister, Edith Holt, Clarkesville, GA; brothers, Neville Bryson, Clarkesville, GA and Paul Bryson, Homer, GA; seven grandchildren and four great grandchildren.



Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m., on Friday, July 25, 2014 at the Whitfield Funeral Home, South Chapel, Baldwin, Georgia with Rev. Danny Jarrard and Rev. Donald Grizzle officiating. Interment will follow in the Crescent Hill Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Donald Fuller officiating.



The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. on Thursday, July 24, 2014.
