Donald William Carlson

Evans Funeral Home announces the death of Mr. Donald William Carlson, age 93 of Alpharetta, Georgia, formerly of Daytona Beach Florida, who entered into rest Saturday, July 12, 2014.

Mr. Carlson was born in Tonawanda, NY, the son of the late Elmer and Margaret Swansfeger Carlson, was a retired salesman, was of the Methodist Faith, a Navy Veteran of WWII and past Commander of American Legion Post 264.

Mr. Carlson is survived by his wife, Naomi Joyce Minor Carlson of Alpharetta, two sons; William Donald Carlson and his wife Suzanne of Jefferson, James Gunnar Carlson and his wife Cindy of Longneck, Delaware, brother and sister in law, Robert and Carole Carlson, Victor of New York, sister, Gloria Clark of North Tonawanda, New York, grandchildren, Tracy (Mark) Sadowski, Dawn (Giorgio) Giovinazzo, Trevor Carlson (Laura), Denise Carlson, Erik Carlson (Victoria), Laura Crawn (Justin), and several great-grandchildren.



Memorial services will be Saturday August 9, 2014 at 12:00 PM in the Chapel of Evans Funeral Home with Deacon John Burke and Rev. Dale Jones officiating. The family will receive friends after the service.
