Donald "Grumps" Cross, 82, of Sugar Hill, passed away Sat July 12, 2014 at his home. He attended Epic Faith in Duluth GA. He believed God had kept him here for a purpose, to encourage as many as he could.
Don was a Korean War Veteran, retiring from Bendix Engineering.
He was preceeded in death by his parents Leamon "Red" Cross and Clara Brown Cross. Surviving are his sister, Patricia Cross Smith, 2 daughters, Cheryl (& Jon) Toby and Clara (& Rick) Jackson and 1 son, Victor Cross , his adopted children Phil & Sandy Kashat; 3 grand-children, Sam Toby, Brandon Jackson & Kirsten Mia Kashat (& Chris) Richardson and 1 great grandson arriving next month. His 2nd family was the staff at the Kroger located on PIB in Suwanee. He loved spend time with them daily.
Cremation was done at Flanigan Funeral Home. A Memorial Service will be held on Sunday, July 27 from 12 noon to 1pm at Epic Faith. In leu of flowers, please make monetary donations you would have spent on flowers to one of the Veterans Associations. He was very proud to be a Veteran and this would be a great way to honor his legacy as well as those of our military heros.
