Linda Ruth McEntire

Linda Ruth McEntire, age 69 of Flowery Branch, passed away Wednesday, July 16, 2014 at the Northeast Georgia Medical Center following an extended illness.

Funeral services are scheduled for Saturday, July 19, 2014 at 11:00 am in the Chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home with interment to follow in Alta Vista Cemetery. Reverend Paul Wade will officiate. The family will receive friends on Thursday, July 17, 2014 and Friday, July 18, 2014 from 6 - 8 pm at the funeral home.

Mrs. McEntire was born February 26, 1945 in Hall County to the late Henry & Beulah Edge Wingfield. She was retired from Johnson & Johnson where she worked as a spinner. She was a member of West Hall Baptist Church and was preceded in death by her husband, Phillip McEntire and her son, Dennis McEntire.

Survivors include, daughter and son-in-law, Lisa and Doug Jones of Flowery Branch, son and daughter-in-law, Tony and Letiticia McEntire of Gainesville, daughter, Cathy Byrd of Flowery Branch, grandsons, Austin and Justin Jones, Tony McEntire Jr., granddaughters, Lauren Byrd and Brandy Williams, sister, Elizabeth Peppers of Buford, brother, Louis Wingfield of Chestnut Mountain, sister, Brenda Wingo of Chestnut Mountain, brother, Charles Wingfield of Flowery Branch, sister, Gail Wingfield of Flowery Branch, special nephew but more like a son, Ricky Wingfield of Flowery Branch.
