Mark Edward Green

Mark Edward Green, age 64 of Cleveland, passed away Thursday, July 10, 2014 at his residence following an extended illness.

Mr. Green was born March 5, 1950 in Atlanta to the late Joe R. Green Sr. and Ella Louise Kelley Green. He was a Veteran of the United States Navy having served in the Vietnam War and was a manager at Piggly Wiggly Grocery Store.

Survivors include his wife, Nancy Green, Cleveland; son, Kris Green, Conyers; daughter, Candice Truelove, Snellville; daughter and son-in-law, Ruby and William Gannon, Cleveland; brothers and sisters-in-law, James Robert and Shelia Green; Suches; Joseph R. Green Jr. and Kathy Green; Cleveland; grandchildren, Brittany Casper, Covington; Jessica Marie Green, Covington; Juniper Miller, Hayesville, NC; Carrie Tomlin, Gainesville; Jasmine Tomlin, Flowery Branch; Ali Dean, Demorest; Devin Trammell; Keara Trammell; Spring Truelove, all of Snellville; great grandchildren, Nicholas Casper and Jon Green; special friends, Joy and James Stephenson.

Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 PM Saturday, July 12, 2014 from the Chapel of Barrett Funeral Home. The Rev. Rondal Garmon will officiate. Interment will follow at Mt. View Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 4-8 PM Friday at the funeral home.
