Glen C. Amburn

Glen C. Amburn, 50, of Dawsonville passed away Wednesday July 9, 2014 at Northside Forsyth Hospital following a short illness.

Mr. Amburn was born October 9, 1963 in Lincoln, Missouri and had lived in Dawson County for the past 25 years. He owned and operated G's Barber Shop in Dawsonville and was an avid farmer who loved raising cattle. Glen was a U. S. Army veteran and was preceded in death by his father and stepmother, Carl H. and Agnes Amburn.

Surviving are his wife of 10 years, Lauren Amburn, Dawsonville; daughter, Sarah Newton, Dawsonville; mother, Leona, South Carolina; Sister, Tammy, South Carolina; brothers, Terry Amburn, Missouri, Maurice Scott, Florida; and a number of other relatives.

The family is planning a private memorial service.
