Joan Elaine Allison

Joan Elaine Allison, age 59 of Homer, passed away on Tuesday, July 8, 2014 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center following a brief illness.


Funeral services are scheduled for Friday, July 11, 2014 at 4:00 pm in the Chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home with interment to follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. Reverend Michael McIntyre will officiate. The family will receive friends on Thursday, July 10, 2014 from 5 - 9 pm at the funeral home.

Ms. Allison was born April 1, 1955 in Gainesville, Georgia to the late Roy Gilreath and Jo Nell Mangum Gilreath. She was a homemaker and a member of New Beginnings Pentecostal Church. Joan was preceded in death by her parents and two of her sisters, Peggy Cleveland and Patricia Brown.

Ms. Allison is survived by her companion, Lonzo Adams of Homer, her daughters, Joyce Ann Allison of Clermont and Jennifer Allison of Homer, her son, Kris Allison of Alamo, Georgia, sister, Wendy Allison, 6 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.
