Oscar Garcia, age 17, of Gainesville, passed away Saturday, July 5, 2014 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center following a sudden illness.


Funeral services will be held Thursday, July 10, 2014 at 3:00 pm at St. Michael Catholic Church with Father William Canales officiating. The family will receive friends from Wednesday, July 9, 201412p-8pm Wednesday at the funeral home.

Mr. Garcia was born September 4, 2014 in Houston, Texas to Jose Garcia and Maria Hernandez. He is a Junior at East Hall High School and a member of St. Michael Catholic Church.

He is survived by his mother, Maria Hernandez, brothers, Jose G. Garcia of Denver, Colorado, Jonathan Hernandez of Gainesville, Edgar Garcia of Gainesville and Eric Castaneda of Gainesville, sisters, Samantha Garcia of Denver, Colorado, Sabrina Williams and Becky Williams.
