James Tunney 'JT' Ridings

James Tunney "JT" Ridings, 82, of Gainesville, GA died on July 6, 2014. Born in Atlanta, GA he was the son of Joseph and Allie Ridings. His beloved daughter, Cathy Stone also predeceased him.

JT grew up in Techwood and attended O'Keefe High School and was a Golden Glove boxer. He served as a firefighter for the City of Atlanta before starting his own business, Mang-Alloy Steel Company, Inc. He and his wife, Willie Jo lived in Sandy Springs for 40 years. JT was Assistant Scout Master for Troop 463.

In addition to his wife Willie Jo Riding of Gainesville, GA, JT is survived by his son, James T. (Stacy) Ridings, Jr. of Cumming, GA; daughter, Sandie (Norman) Loyd of Gainesville, GA; and much loved grandchildren, Davis and Drew Ridings and Joseph Loyd.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm on Wednesday, July 9, 2014 in the McDonald and Son chapel. Interment will follow at Holbrook Campground Cemetery in Cumming, GA. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, July 9 from 12:30
