Ruby Dean McKinzey

Mrs. Ruby Dean McKinzey, age 67, of Murrayville, GA (Lumpkin County), passed away Thursday, July 3, 2014 at Chestatee Regional Hospital in Dahlonega, GA following a period of declining health.

Ruby was a native and lifelong resident of Lumpkin County, A homemaker, and was of the Baptist faith.

Ruby was the daughter of the late Claude Ernest Adams and Nell Black Adams and was also preceded in death by infant sister, Claudine Adams; sisters, Edna Merck and Vernell Black; and brother, Buck Black.

Ruby is survived by her husband of 43 years, George McKinzey, Murrayville, GA; daughter and son-in-law, Kim and Dwayne Gravitt, Dahlonega, GA; sons and daughters-in-law, Casey and Trina Jones, Joey and Donna McKinzey, and Moses McKinzey, all of Dahlonega, GA; sisters, Edith Lance and Bessie English, both of Dahlonega, GA; brother and sister-in-law, Herbert and Larue Adams, Dahlonega, GA; grandchildren, Jordan Jones, Tara and Daniel Goss, Shay and Ozzie Johnson, Savannah Gravitt, Brian McKinzey, Elijah McKinzey, Renae McKinzey, and Misty York. Numerous other relatives also survive.

Funeral services for Ruby are scheduled for 2 PM Monday, July 7, 2014 at the Banister Funeral Home Chapel in Dahlonega, GA.

Rev. Johnny Atkins and Rev. Len Land will officiate.

Interment will follow in the Word of Life Pentecostal Church Cemetery in Lumpkin County.

The family will receive friends at Banister Funeral Home in Dahlonega, GA on Saturday, July 5, 2014 from 4 PM until 9 PM, 1 PM until 9 PM on Sunday, and again on Monday 10 AM until the time of the service.
