Kathryn Jackson Palmer

Kathryn Jackson Palmer, age 80 of Clermont, passed away on Thursday, July 3, 2014 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center following an extended illness.

Graveside services are scheduled for Sunday, July 6, 2014 at 2:00 pm in Memorial Park Cemetery. Reverend Wayne Hicks will officiate. The family will receive friends on Saturday, July 5, 2014 from 6 - 8 pm at the funeral home.

Mrs. Palmer was born August 21, 1933 in Gainesville, Georgia to the late Harry Jackson and Esco Tatum Jackson. She was a homemaker and was raised in the Gainesville Mill Village all her young adult life. Kathryn was a loving wife and mother, and was a very special grandmother to her grandchildren and her great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Palmer is survived by her husband of 56 years, James E. Palmer of Clermont, her son & daughter-in-law, Harry William & Lori Palmer of York, South Carolina and her son and his fiancé, Mark Palmer & Janet Shelnutt of Gainesville, grandchildren, Justin Palmer, Jennifer & Jeremy Cash, Shelley & Robert Douglas and Seth Palmer and her special cousin whom she grew up with in the Mill Village, Dianne Bennett.

Memorial Park Funeral Home, 2030 Memorial Park Road, Gainesville, GA 30504 is in charge of arrangements.
