Beulah Mae Shook Shaw,

Beulah Mae Shook Shaw, age 72 of Lula, Georgia passed away on Wednesday, July 02, 2014 at the Northeast Georgia Medical Center following a brief illness.

Born in Rabun County, Georgia on February 06, 1942, she was a daughter of the late Clifford McKinley Shook & Myrtle Marie Smith Shook. Mrs. Shaw was a homemaker and kept children in her home for many years. She was affectionately known to her grandchildren and many others as "Mae Mae." Mrs. Shaw was a member of Alto Baptist Church and in addition to her parents, was preceded in death by her husband, William Merlin Shaw, brothers, James Shook and Albert Shook.

Survivors include her children, Ricky C. (LaDon) Shaw, Baldwin, GA; Donald Eugene Shaw, Alto, GA; Angela Victoria (Stacey) Hubbard, Homer, GA; Keith (Brenda) Shaw, Clarkesville, GA; sisters, Betty Roberts, Idalee Gragg, both of the Batesville Community, Clarkesville, GA; Patricia Chastain, Mt. Airy, GA; brothers, Jerry Shook, Alto, GA; Lamar Shook, Demorest, GA; grandchildren, Eric (Hannah) Shaw, Amber Shaw, all of Clarkesville, GA; Asa Hubbard, Ean Hubbard, both of Homer, GA; one very loved great-grandchild on the way; numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, other relatives & friends.

Funeral services are scheduled for 1:00 p.m. Saturday, July 05, 2014 at the Alto Baptist Church with Rev. Raymond Payne and Pastor Mike Franklin officiating. Interment will follow in the Baldwin City Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 7 until 9 p.m. on Thursday and again from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m. on Saturday at the funeral home prior to the service.
