Dorothy Christopher Duncan

Mrs. Dorothy Christopher Duncan, age 90, a lifelong resident of Buford and Sugar Hill community, passed away on Wednesday, July 2, 2014. She was preceded in death by her husband Dean Duncan, daughter Becky Cochran, parents Bertie and Vesta Christopher, son-in-law Johnny Cochran, and sister Ann Standridge. She is survived by her children Brenda and Johnny Pruitt, Dottie Jackson, Norma and Harold Monroe, and David and Kathy Duncan; grandchildren Darrel Pruitt, Jason and Paige Pruitt, Wayne Montgomery, James and Dana Jackson, Rhonda and Wesley Kidd, Kari and Craig Breedlove, Kelli and Ken Burge, Kevin Duncan, Julie and Gary Farmer, and Tina and Gary Peardon; sister Norma Christopher; eighteen great grandchildren; and three great-great grandchildren. Mrs. Duncan was born October 28, 1923 in Buford, GA. She was a homemaker and a member of the First Baptist Church of Buford. Graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 5, 2014 at Broadlawn Memorial Gardens, Buford, GA with Johnny Pruitt officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday, July 3, 2014 from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. and on Saturday, July 5, 2014 from 9:30 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Sunshine Residential Care, 3949 Pine Gorge Circle, Dacula, GA 30019, or First Baptist Church of Buford, 4550 Hamilton Mill Road, Buford, GA 30518.
