Donna Rae Garner

Donna Rae Garner, born Donna Rae White, age 76, died peacefully and quietly at Northside Forsyth Hospital in Cumming, Georgia, on Saturday, June 28, 2014.



She was born on September 4, 1937, in Clarion, Pennsylvania, to William Howard White and Harriet Esther White. Her residence was in Longboat Key, Florida. Donna also had properties in Cumming, GA, Chatauqua, NY and Tucson, AZ where she loved to visit with friends and family.



Donna was a Registered Nurse and, throughout her tenure of nursing, she had the honor of being the private duty nurse of a member of the Guggenheim family and Mr. Walter O'Malley. Donna was an active member of her churches in Florida, Georgia and Arizona. Her interests included family, traveling, education and helping others. She devoted much of her time and energy as a caregiver to her family members, including her daughter Linda Sue Steffee-Yenne who pre-deceased her on July 21, 2012, and her late husband E. Raymond Crim, Jr. of Cumming, GA.



Donna graduated from nursing school at Temple University. Thereafter, she received a B.S. from Ursuline College in Cleveland, OH, as well as her master's degree in speech pathology/audiology from Cleveland State University.



Survivors include her husband William C. Garner of Cumming, GA, her brother H. William White, II of Oil City, PA, her daughter Amy J. Chaho of Lorain, OH and her daughter Laura J. Kozma of Robbinsville, NJ. Donna has three loving sons-in-law, five extraordinary grandchildren, Michelle Chaho-Gerycz, Emily Chaho, Kristen Kozma, Matthew Kozma and Julian Yenne, as well as several loving grandchildren by marriage from her late husband Raymond Crim, two nephews, H. William White, III and David White and one niece Allison White.



Services will be held at 12:00 p.m., Saturday, July 12, 2014, at Ingram Funeral Home, 210 Ingram Avenue, Cumming, GA 30040, ingramfuneralhome.com. Relatives and friends are welcome at the service and the lunch reception immediately following the service at Tam's Back Stage, 215 Ingram Avenue, Cumming, GA 30040.
