Evans Funeral Home announces the death of Ms. Tammy Elizabeth McLeroy Wilkes, age 56 of Jefferson, Georgia who entered into rest Saturday, June 28, 2014.
Ms. Wilkes was born in Athens, Georgia the daughter of the late J.L. and Barbara Ellen Saye McLeroy, was retired from Suntrust Bank and attended Foundation of the House Church in Commerce, Georgia.
Survivors include a daughter, Abigail Grace Wilkes of Jefferson, brothers, Greg McLeroy and his wife Cindy of Clarkesville, Rusty McLeroy of Athens and Chuck McLeroy of Sautee. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, July 2, 2014 in the Chapel of Evans Funeral Home with Reverend Phillip Slaughter and Reverend Mike Franklin officiating. Cremation will follow the service. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday, July 1, 2014, 5-8 P.M.
