Mildred Free Gunn

Mildred Free Gunn, age 92 of Demorest, passed away Thursday, June 19, 2014, at her residence.
Born in Rabun County on March 20, 1922, she was a daughter of the late Carol Free and Molly Baker Free. Mrs. Gunn was a homemaker and member of Stonepile Baptist Church. In her spare time, she enjoyed cooking, gardening, and babysitting.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Gunn was also preceded in death by her son, Ronnie Lee Gunn; daughters, Jean Davis and Virginia Cook; several brothers and sisters. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family.
Surviving are daughter and son-in-law, Elaine & Bill Wheeler of Demorest; daughter, Dorothy Parrish of Loganville; son and daughter-in-law, Tommy & Peggy Gunn of Demorest; son-in-law, Charles Cook of Newnan; eight grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, and two great-great grandchildren.
Graveside services are 11:00 am Saturday, June 21, 2014, at Demorest City Cemetery with Rev. Bill Trotter officiating. All friends are requested to meet at the cemetery by 10:45 am.
