Ret. Air Force Major Gary DerGarabedian

Ret. Air Force Major Gary DerGarabedian, age 83, of Flowery Branch, GA passed away on Monday, June 9, 2014 after an extended illness. He is survived by his wife of twenty-eight years, Elaine DerGarabedian; children, Gary K. and Lori DerGarabedian, Hoschton, GA, Kim DerGarabedian, Decatur, GA and Eric and Sarah DerGarabedian, Arden, NC; stepson, Stuart and Tonya Dailey, Murrayville, GA; two grandchildren, Frances Kerr, Decatur, GA and Max DerGarabedian, Arden, NC; and brother-in-law, Robert Keown, Flowery Branch, GA. Mr. DerGarabedian was born on June 27, 1930 in Boston, MA. He was a retired major from the United States Air Force after twenty years of service. He was an avid golfer, fisherman, sailor and handyman. He was of the Christian faith. A graveside service with military honors will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 14, 2014 at Broadlawn Memorial Gardens, Buford, GA with Rev. Raleigh T. Parks officiating.
