William "Buddy" Cash

William "Buddy" Cash, 80, of Gainesville passed away Sunday June 8, 2014 at his residence following an extended illness.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday June 10, 2014 at 2:00pm from the chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home with the Rev. Stan Peck and Rev. Chris Anderson officiating. Interment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends Monday from 2pm-4pm and 6pm-8pm at the funeral home.

Mr. Cash was born May 10, 1934 in Gainesville to the late Grover and Maude Kilgore Cash. He served in the United States Army and was retired from Carpenters Local 225. Mr. Cash was a member of Sardis Baptist Church. He is preceded in death by his sister Grova Nell Hulsey, and brothers Alton, Ruben, and Roscoe Cash.

Survivors include his wife of 54 years Shirley Jo Cash of Gainesville, daughter and son-in-law Teresa Cash Cantrell and George Cantrell of Gainesville, son and daughter-in-law William "Bill" and Pam Cash of Gainesville, grandsons Brandon Cantrell and Kevin Allison both of Gainesville, grandson and wife Dusty and Samantha Allison of Gainesville, great grandson Gage "Shotgun" Allison, Mason Allison, and Will "Skippy" Allison all from Gainesville, sister and brother-in-law Ida and Bob Graham of Snellville, and sister Martha Land of Oxford AL, also several nieces and nephews.

The family wishes to give a special thanks to Northeast Georgia Hospice for there tender love and Care.

Flowers will be accepted, those who wish may make contributions to their favorite charities.
