Pasquale "Pat" Longo Sr.

Mr. Pasquale "Pat" Longo Sr., age 84, of Buford, GA passed away on Saturday, June 7, 2014. He is survived by his wife of twenty-seven years, Myrtle Buice Longo, Buford, GA; children, Wayne and Vicki Wheeler, Lawrenceville, GA, Pat and Teresa Longo, Gainesville, GA, Ron and Tish Longo, Nashville, TN and Kim and Tony Lathem, Douglasville, GA; thirteen grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; step children, Thomas Anthony and Angie Bennett, Jefferson, GA and Shelia Mauldin, Buford, GA; sisters, Ida Salmieri, Grace Metrokas, Betty Lombardo, Angie Danno, all of Philadelphia, PA; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Mr. Longo was born August 26, 1929 in Philadelphia, PA. He was a graduate from Girard College. He was a veteran and retired from the U. S. Air Force after twenty years of service. He was also retired from AT&T Lucent Technology as a safety manager. He was a Georgia Master Gardener in Gwinnett County. He attended West Gwinnett Christian Church. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, June 10, 2014 at 10:30 a.m. in the Chapel of Flanigan Funeral Home with Rev. Kenneth Stokes officiating. Interment will be at 1:30 p.m. at the Georgia National Cemetery in Canton, GA with military honors. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday, June 9, 2014 from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Kidney Foundation in memory of Pat Longo.
