Brenda Joan Samples

Brenda Joan Samples, age 66, of Cumming, passed away on Wednesday, June 4, 2014. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and a member of Liberty Baptist Church in Dawsonville. She was the owner and operator of Styles by Joan since 1968. She was preceded in death by her parents, Russ and Amy Whitmire, brother, Wilbert Whitmire, father in law and mother in law, Marcellas and Wylene Samples and brother in law, Michael Samples.



Joan is survived by her loving husband of 44 years, Royce A. Samples of Cumming; children, Marcie and son in law Randy Pruitt of Cumming and Russell A. Samples of Cumming; brother and sister in law, Dawson and Rhonda Whitmire of Dawsonville; sisters, Florene Hughes of Brookhaven and Sue and the late Leon Wells of Cumming; granddaughter, Maci Pruitt of Cumming; sister in law and brother in law, Cathy and Calvin Karr of Cumming; aunt, Jewell Fouts of Atlanta, several nieces, nephews also survive.



Funeral Service for Mrs. Samples will be Saturday, June 7, 2014 at Liberty Baptist Church at 11:00 A.M. Rev. Dennis Bottoms, Rev. Ruel Martin, Rev. Randy Pruitt and Rev. Danny Bennett officiating. Interment to follow at Sawnee View Memorial Gardens.



Visitation will be on Thursday from 6:00 P.M. until 9:00 P.M., Friday 11:00 A.M. until 4:00 P.M. and 6:00 P.M. until 9:00 P.M. Saturday from 9:00 A.M. until the hour of service.
