Jack Stringer Simpson

Jack Stringer Simpson, 72 of Gainesville died Thursday June 5, 2014 at the Northeast Georgia Medical Center.

A life long resident of Hall County, Jack was born in the Chicopee Village to the late Fred Baker Simpson, Sr. and Morine Stringer Simpson. He was retired from the U.S. Forestry Service and was of the Baptist Faith.

Survivors include his children and their spouses, Lynn Simpson Lees and Kevin Lees, Edmonton, Alberta, Canada; Nikki Simpson Thomas and Burt Thomas, Cumming, GA; son and daughter-in-law; Randy and Latricia Simpson, Flowery Branch, GA; son, Brad Simpson, Gainesville, GA; grandchildren, Krista O'Neal Boehm, Savannah Brooke Simpson, McCall Amberlee Thomas, Tanner Jackson Thomas and Christian Bennett Thomas; brothers and sisters-in-law, Fred and Lisa Simpson, Roswell, GA; Michael and Beth Simpson, Birmingham. AL;

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday June 8, 2014 in the chapel of Little & Davenport Funeral Home. Rev. Phil Carpenter will officiate. Interment will follow in the Alta Vista Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Saturday June 7, 2014 from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m.
