Wendell Grant Dyer

Mr. Wendell Grant Dyer age 91 of Gainesville passed away on Wednesday June 04, 2014 at New Horizons Lanier Park following an extended illness.


Funeral services are scheduled for Friday June 06, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home with interment to follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. Reverend Chris Anderson and Reverend Bobby Pierce will officiate. The family will receive friends on Thursday June 05, 2014 from 4:00-8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mr. Dyer was born on January 26, 1923 in Blairsville, Ga to the late Frank Hedden Dyer and Dora Nix Dyer. He was a retired farmer and was a member of New Liberty Baptist Church. He is preceded in death by his parents and wife, Mittie Grindle Dyer, son, Stanley Dyer, daughter, Hazel Becker, son, Wendell Grant Jr., daughter, Margaret Dyer

Mr. Dyer is survived by his daughter, Betty Weinman of Gainesville, daughter, Nancy Hamilton, daughter, Maryann Janet Griggs of Seneca, SC, daughter, Mary Jo Crocker of Oakwood, daughter, Darlene Kimbrell of Oakwood, daughter, Tracey Dyer of Easley, SC son, Johnny Dyer of Demorest, 16 Grandchildren, 24 Great-grandchildren, 5 great-great-grandchildren.
