Harvey Lee Gravley

Harvey Lee Gravley, age 73, of Dahlonega, GA passed away Tuesday, June 3, 2014 following an extended illness.

He was born in Acworth, GA, and had been a resident of Lumpkin County for the past 25 years. He was retired from GA Pipeline where he worked as a supervisor. He was a loving husband, father, and friend, and was of the Baptist Faith.

Mr. Gravley was the son of the late Hubert and Nannie Matthis Gravley, and was also preceded in death by his daughters, Jackie Pensula and Becky Brown.

Harvey is survived by his wife of 30 years, Margaret Gravley; son and daughter-in-law, Tony and Melanie Gravley,

Harvey is survived by his wife of 30 years, Margaret Gravley; son and daughter-in-law, Tony and Melanie Gravley, Acworth, GA, son, Jason Gravley, Dahlonega, GA; daughter, Vicki Sane, daughter and son-in-law, Debi and Jerry Wheeling, all of Douglasville, GA; daughters,Teri Bennett, Faye Henson, and Sonya Wood; daughter and son-in-law, Tonya and Ken Leach, all of Dahlonega, GA; brother, Paul Gravley, Marietta, GA; sister, Brenda Lawhorn, Terrell, TX. 15 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren, and a number of other relatives also survive.
Funeral Services for Harvey are scheduled for 11:00 AM Friday, June 6, 2014 at Banister Funeral Home in Dahlonega, GA.

Rev. Larry Womack will officiate.

Interment will follow in the Antioch Baptist Church Cemetery in Lumpkin County.
The family will receive friends at Banister Funeral Home in Dahlonega from 12 Noon until 9 PM on Thursday, June 5, 2014 and from 9AM until time of service on Friday, June 6, 2014.
