Betty Joyce Dickson Meeler

Mrs. Betty Joyce Dickson Meeler, age 61 of 409 Diamond Drive, Clarkesville, Georgia passed away Tuesday, June 3, 2014 at the Oaks at Scenic View, Baldwin, Georgia following an extended illness.

A daughter of the late Willie and Eula Aderholdt Dickson, she was born July 25, 1952 in Stephens County, Georgia. She was a very loving and dedicated wife, mother, grandmother and homemaker and was a member of Lamar Christian Church.

Survivors include her husband, James Thomas Meeler of the home; daughters and sons-in-law, Rebecca and Rev. Arthur Chambers of Eastanollee, Georgia and Amanda and Edward Ayres of Clarkesville, Georgia; sisters, Geneva Bowers of Royston, Georgia and Della DeBerry of West Virginia; brother, Ben Dickson of Royston, Georgia; grandchildren, Tabytha Shiley, Natasha Chambers, Brittany Chambers, Stormee Ayres and Michael Chambers.

Graveside services will be Thursday, June 5, 2 O'clock PM at Lamar Christian Church Cemetery with the Reverend Arthur Chambers and the Reverend Terrell Simmons officiating. The following gentlemen will serve as pallbearers, Michael Chambers, Steven Shiley, Johnny Chambers, Harold Franklin, Rick Martin and Shaun Martin.

The family will receive friends at the Acree-Davis Funeral Home on Wednesday, June 4 from 6 PM to 8 PM.

Interment to follow in the Lamar Christian Church Cemetery with the Acree-Davis Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements for Mrs. Betty Joyce Dickson Meeler.
