Michael William Hagler

Michael William Hagler, age 56 of Gainesville, passed away on Monday, June 2, 2014 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center following an extended illness.


A celebration of his life is scheduled for Thursday, June 5, 2014 at 2:00 pm in the Chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home. Mr. Thomas Blakely will officiate.

Mr. Hagler was born March 24, 1958 in Atlanta, Georgia to the late Bill Hagler and Dot Hagler Brown. He was disabled and was of the Baptist Faith. Michael was an Associate Pastor at Morningside Baptist Church, Youth Pastor and Teen Sunday School Teacher at Hillcrest Baptist Church and also a Sunday School Teacher at Heavens View Baptist Church and Brookton Baptist Church.

Mr. Hagler is survived by his wife of 33 years, Cynthia Phillips Hagler of Gainesville, daughter & son-in-law, Casey Jill & David Chastain, grandson, Blake Chastain, granddaughter, Gracee Chastain, sisters, Vicky & Thomas Blakely, Anne Degrave and Jill & Ed King, nieces & nephews, Brandy Driver, Josh King, Amy King, Kenny Phillips, Marcus Phillips and Amanda & Randall Degrave and great-nieces and great-nephews, Bo Driver, Walt Driver and Gracie Driver.
