Juanita York Jones

Mrs. Juanita York Jones, age 86 of Cumming passed away Friday, May 30, 2014 at her residence at The Oaks.

Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, June 3, 2014 at the chapel of Dahlonega Funeral Home.

Reverend Mike Davis will officiate. The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. Tuesday until the service time at the funeral home.

Born in Blound, Ga on March 22, 1928, Mrs. Jones had lived much of her life in Decatur, Georgia until the last year and a half when she moved to Cumming. She was a member of Scott Boulevard Baptist Church in Decatur and was retired from CVS Pharmacy where she served as a pharmacy clerk. She was formerly an avid bowler having won many trophies and also enjoyed fishing.

Mrs. Jones was preceeded in death by her parents, Gordon Daniel and Ida Bell Cheek York , brothers; Bud and Herschel York and sisters; Ethel Collins, Pauline Wise, Blanche Powell, Rilla Green and Bertha Irby.

Surviving are her children, Ronald Allen Jones (Regina), Piedmont Al, and Brenda Carol Brown (Dean), of Dahlonega, sister, Louise Gay of Reidsville, Ga; Brother Barney York Grandchildren; Dena Bosten (Richard) and Dylan Brown ( Reanna) of Dahlonega, Jeremy Jones (Melanie) of Atlanta and Mitchell Jones of Tucker, GA. Three Great grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews also survive.
