Mrs. Sarah Elizabeth Prickett Edwards Parks of Gainesville, died on Thursday, May 29, 2014 at her residence.
Mrs. Parks was born in Walnut Grove, AL., but had lived most of her life in Hall County. She was a homemaker and a member of Concord Baptist Church, Dahlonega.
Mrs. Parks as preceded in death by her parents, James Franklin Prickett and Ola Miller Prickett Critcher; her first husband, Clarence H. Edwards; two brothers, James Franklin Prickett, Jr. Walter Andrew Prickett of Alabama and one grandson, Richard Kyle Edwards.
Mrs. Parks is survived by her second husband, Leroy Parks of Dahlonega; son and daughter in law, Larry H. and Judy Allison Edwards of Gainesville; two grandsons, Kenneth Lee Edwards of Gainesville, Kevin Wayne (Angela) Edwards of Flowery Branch; one great granddaughter, Allie Elizabeth Edwards and two great grandsons, Austin Taylor and Ethan Duke Edwards of Murrayville; sisters in law, Geneva Edwards Turpin and Charlotte Prickett of Oenonta, AL.
The family would like to say thanks to Homestead Hospice for the care and love that was shown to Mrs. Parks.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, June 1, 2014 the chapel of Little & Davenport Funeral Home. Rev. Steve Baker will officiate. Interment will follow in Wahoo Baptist Church Cemetery in Lumpkin County. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday, May 31, 2014 from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.
