Clayton Andrew Martin

Clayton Andrew Martin, age 20, went to be with the Lord Monday, May 26, 2014.

Born in Jackson County May 3, 1994 he is the son of Juli (Tomlin) and Johnny Irvin, Baldwin and Andy Martin, Homer. Clayton was currently a junior at Toccoa Falls College and a dedicated, proud member of the Toccoa Falls Men's Basketball Team. He was also a proud member of the Clarkesville Fire Department. He loved God, basketball and fishing. Clayton will be remembered for a smile that could light up a room and his gentle loving personality. He attended 1ST Alliance Baptist Church, Toccoa, GA.

Clayton was preceded in death by his grandparents, James and Shirley Martin and his great-grandparents, Jay and Claudine Barden Tomlin.

In addition to his parents, Clayton is survived by his grandparents, Paul and Carol Newlon, Demorest and Dan and Susan Tomlin, Demorest and Edith Irvin, Cornelia. His girlfriend, Leah Civitts, Toccoa and step-sisters Christa Irvin, Clarkesville, Brittany Irvin Clarkesville and Nicole Irvin, Jacksonville, FL and a host of other family and friends.

A celebration of life service will be held at 2:00 PM on Sunday, June 1, 2014 at the Hillside Memorial Chapel, Clarkesville, GA. Burial will follow the service in Silver Shoals Baptist Church Cemetery in Homer.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home Saturday, May 31, 2014 from 2:00-4:00 PM and from 6:00-9:00 PM.

Clayton brought laughter, love and joy to everyone he met and will be missed by many.
