Johnny Ted Rogers, age 78 of Cleveland, passed away Tuesday, May 27, 2014 at his residence.
Dad was born March 21, 1936 to the late Dewey "Dude" and Mammie Rogers. He was also preceded in death by sister, Irene; brothers G.D. Rogers and Rex Rogers. He spent much of his life in Clermont, Georgia and worked in several occupations, but was most passionate about his life as a barber, mobile home salesman, and convenience store owner. Ted was a member of Holly Springs Baptist Church and active Gideon member. His life was centered on Christ, he loved being around his many friends and family, and especially loved attending revivals.
Survivors include his wife of 21 years, Martha Rogers, Cleveland; sons and daughters-in-law, Mike and Sherry Rogers, Jody and Dawn Davis, Richard Davis, and Michael and Lauren Davis; grandchildren, Dusty and Kim Rogers, Bethann Rogers, Justin and Stacy Davis, Olivia Davis, Anna Davis, Taylor White, Devin White, and Griffin Davis; great-grandchildren, Emma Rogers, Owen Rogers, and Berkley Davis; brother and sister-in-law, Wayne and Joanie Rogers; sister-in-law, Frances Rogers; and best buddy Cory Oliver.
Funeral services are scheduled for 12:00pm Friday, May 30, 2014 at Holly Springs Baptist Church, Clermont. The Rev. Josh Chatham, Rev. Scott Strickland and Dusty Rogers will officiate. Interment will follow in Holly Springs Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 2-4 & 6-8 PM Thursday, May 29, 2014 at Barrett Funeral Home, Cleveland.
