Adelyn (Lynn) Gloria Mays

Adelyn "Lynn" Gloria Mays aged 85 died peacefully at her home on Tuesday May 27th 2014.



Born June 15th, 1928 in Rockaway, New Jersey to Otto Seifert of Odrau, Austria and Maria Kungle of Budapest, Hungary. She married Albert Papp Sr. after graduating high school and went to work as a phone operator for Bell Telephone Company and enjoyed her job as a receptionist for Westinghouse.



Lynn being quite the hazel eyed beauty was chosen to appear in several commercials for Westinghouse where she was quickly offered steady work in the modeling industry. Lyn happily chose to start a family instead of a career in New York City.



Lynn and her late husband Al Papp Sr. struck out in true entrepreneurial spirit establishing a grocery business in Wharton, New Jersey before eventually retiring to Gainesville, Georgia. She is preceded in death by her second husband Arnold Mays.



Survivors include her two sons, Mark and Rusty Papp both of Hall County and their spouses Michea and Christine. Lyn will be especially missed by her two grandsons, Robby and Cody Papp.



Lynn was an avid gardener, gourmet cook and devoted grandmother. Her warm presence and the bountiful meals she so lovingly prepared will be greatly missed.



Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, May 30, 2014 at First Presbyterian Church. Interment will be in Alta Vista Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday, May 29, 2014 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.
