Annie Jo Tant Turner, age 70, of Dahlonega, GA died Wednesday, May 28, 2014 following an extended illness.

Annie Jo had lived in Lumpkin County for 16 years after moving here from Rome, GA. She was the manager of Dahlonega Loan Company for15 years and was of the Baptist faith.

She was preceded in death by her parents Reuben M. Tant and Annie McDaniel Tant, 2 infant brothers, brother and sister-in-law James D. Tant and Aliene Franks Tant.

She is survived by her husband of 44 years, Fred Turner, Dahlonega, GA; sister, Patsy Marie Davis, Rome, GA; sister and brother-in-law, Lee Ann and Scott Simpson, Rome, GA; nephews, Parker and Conner Simpson; Caregivers and family, Tammy and Virgil Sisk, Camilla Anderson, Logan Reidling and Layla Anderson. A number of other relatives also survive.

Funeral services for Annie Jo are scheduled for 1 PM Saturday, May 31, 2014 at Banister Funeral Home Chapel, Dahlonega, GA.

Rev. Joel Crotzer will officiate.

Interment will follow at Antioch Baptist Church cemetery in Lumpkin County.

The family will receive friends at Banister Funeral Home in Dahlonega on
Friday, May 30, 2014 from 3 PM until 9 PM and Saturday, May 31, 2014 from 9 AM until time of service.
