Joan A. (Sparks) Greene, age 56 of Flowery Branch, passed away on Tuesday, May 27, 2014 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center following an extended illness.


Graveside services are scheduled for Friday, May 30, 2014 at 11:00 am in Memorial Park Cemetery.


Mrs. Greene was born September 24, 1957 in San Diego, California to John King Sparks, Sr. and Barbara Ann Darnell Sparks. She was retired from America's Homeplace and was preceded in death by her mother, Barbara Ann Darnell Sparks and her husband, Michael W. Greene, Sr.

Mrs. Greene is survived by her son & daughter-in-law, Michael Wayne & Tiffany Greene, Jr. of Gainesville, daughter, Mary Esther Greene of Gainesville, father, John King Sparks, Sr. of Flowery Branch, sister, Mary Dyer of Flowery Branch, brother, John King Sparks, Jr. of Ocean Springs, Mississippi, grandchildren, Mac Greene and Olivia Greene, both of Gainesville and a host of other family members.
