Mr. Kenneth M. Beard, age 60, of Flowery Branch, GA passed away on Monday, May 26, 2014. He was preceded in death by his father, J. M. Beard, and his grandparents, Alvin and Mary Lou Beard and Tabor and Dora Grant. He is survived by his mother, Edna Grant Beard, Flowery Branch, GA; aunts and uncles, Louise Beard Greeson, Buford, GA, Linda and Bob Radford, Cumming, GA, Rev. Gerald and Judy Carnes, Cumming, GA, Mark and Paulette Grant, Cumming, GA, Tom and Faye Grant, Cumming, GA; Rev. Bob and Martha Grant, Cumming, GA, Jane Grant, Fairburn, GA, Hubert and Louise Beard, Buford, GA; best friend, Allen Forrester, Gainesville, GA; good friends, Thomas Smith and Buddy Wallace; several cousins, other relatives and friends. Mr. Beard was born June 17, 1953 in Buford, GA. He was a 1972 graduate of South Hall High School. He was in automobile sales and was a member of New Bethany Baptist Church, Buford, GA. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 29, 2014 in the Chapel of Flanigan Funeral Home with Rev. Donnie Nix and Rev. Bobby Grant officiating. Interment will follow at Broadlawn Memorial Gardens, Buford, GA with a graveside prayer by Thomas Smith. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday, May 28, 2014 from 4:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. and on Thursday from 11:00 until the time of service.
