Cora Idelle Loggins Fowler

Cora Idelle Loggins Fowler, age 94 of Gainesville, passed away on Monday, May 26, 2014 at Bell Minor Nursing Home following an extended illness.


Funeral services are scheduled for Thursday, May 29, 2014 at 3:00 pm in the Chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home with interment to follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. Reverend Robert Nix will officiate. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, May 28, 2014 from 4 - 8 pm at the funeral home.

Mrs. Fowler was born November 18, 1919 in Gainesville, Georgia to the late Charlie Newman Loggins, Sr. and Mary Lou Johnson Loggins. She was retired from Walt Koch Poultry Company and was a member of Dewberry #2 Baptist Church. Cora was preceded in death by her husband, Reverend A. R. Fowler, her parents, her son, Charles Lee Fowler, Sr., her sisters, Irene Gilstrap and Amanda Beck and her brother, Newman Loggins.

Mrs. Fowler is survived by her daughter, Barbara Fowler of Gainesville, daughter & son-in-law, Shelby & David Lewallen of Gainesville, son & daughter-in-law, Doug & Brenda Fowler of Jefferson, grandchildren, Danny & Wanda Fowler, Dean Fowler, Bryan Lewallen, Tammy & Scott Lovelady, Julie & Scott Angel, Tonya & Ivan Mote and Chuck & Kim Fowler, 9 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great-grandchild, sisters & brothers-in-law, Genie & Billy Ray Whelchel of Gainesville and Betty & Arthur Grizzle of Fairburn, Ohio, sister, Mary Nell White of Gainesville, brothers & sisters-in-law, Howell & Sally Loggins and Ray & Susan Loggins, all of Gainesville.
