J.C. Broom

Services are scheduled for 3:00 p.m. Sunday May 25, 2014, in Ward's Funeral Home Chapel for Mr. J.C. Broom, 77, of Daniesville. Rev. Grady White and Rev. Elmer Maddox will officiate. Interment will follow in Springway Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Mr. Broom passed away suddenly at his home May 23, 2014.

Mr. Broom was born November 7, 1936 in Hall County to the late Emory Broom Sr., and Evalon Smith Broom. He attended Air Line School and later worked at New Holland Mill, White Truck Line and as a Farmer for years. He was a member of Springway Baptist Church and lived in Danielsville for 20 years. Mr. Broom was preceded in death by his wife Betty Sue Loden Broom.

He was also preceded in death by his brothers and sisters, Walter Eugene Broom, Emory Broom, Jr., Jerry Broom, Bennie Broom, Elmer Broom Mark Broom, Katie Cochran and Bessie Broom Newberry. Mr. Broom loved his family, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, friends, God and Life.

Survivors include son, Marvin Broom, Gainesville; daughters and sons in laws, Marsha (Broom) and Terry Sutton, Cleveland, Pamela (Broom) and Larry Holland, Lula; for 15 years, loving companion Mary Meadow; brother and sister in law, Luther and Anna Broom, Murrayville; sisters and brother in laws, Martha and Alvin Loggins, Lila and Doug Gaines and Louise Thompson Maldanado all of Gainesville; grandchildren, Michael Holland, Alisha Broom Gamble, Cathy Broom Patton, Jason Sutton, Joseph Sutton and Brandy Holland Tucker; great-grandchildren, Ciera Holland, Lilly Holland, Stephen Howard, Andrew Patton and Kirkland Tucker.
